A veteran on-air personality at CBS News has been hired by CNN. The AP reports that foreign correspondent Clarissa Ward is making the move after four years at CBS.
Ward’s reporting has been seen on “CBS Evening News,” “60 Minutes” and other CBS News programs, including recent reports from Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Afghanistan. She has won two Emmys, along with Peabody, DuPont and Murrow awards.
She will be based in London as senior international correspondent for CNN.
Ward said of the move to CNN: “No other organization has the same scope and depth and recognition across the world. And no other organization devotes the same amount of resources and air time to the most important international stories of our time.”
