A U.S. president will be at the heart of a new project in the works at Showtime. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that the pay-cable net has a limited series in development focusing on Teddy Roosevelt.

The project is from David McKenna, writer of “American History X.”

“The project, which hails from Electus and Authentic, is in the early stages of development,” THR reports. “David McKenna … is writing the script. Ben Silverman and Sean Canino from Electus will produce with Jon Rubinstein and Jason Egenberg from Authentic.”

Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States, was in office from 1901 to 1909.
