Oprah Series Goes Global

An Oprah Winfrey TV series is ready to make its global debut. The OWN original documentary series “Belief” will go international starting in December, Deadline.com reports, with the rollout set to continue in various parts of the world through March.

The exploration of humankind’s search for meaning, narrated by Winfrey, is being distributed by Discovery Networks International, with more than 220 countries and territories scheduled to receive the series.

“Discovery Networks International says the global rollout is designed to maximize the series’ impact at relevant times around the globe,” Deadline reports. “It will air in Asia Pacific in December and January, Northern and Southern in December, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa in January and Latin America in March.”

Winfrey executive produces the series, along with Sheri Salata, Jon Sinclair, David Shadrack Smith, Greg Henry and Kim Woodard.
