Actor Randy Quaid, who was arrested last week in Montreal, as we reported previously, is due in a courtroom in Vermont today and stands accused of being a fugitive from justice. Reuters reports that Quaid was arrested again over the weekend, along with his wife, Evi, while attempting to cross the border from Canada into the United States.

He was reportedly arrested Saturday on outstanding warrants. Reuters reports that the Quaids were awaiting extradition on California arrest warrants.

“It was not immediately clear why the arrest warrants were issued, but Quaid recently said they were related to a longstanding dispute over a property in Santa Barbara,” Reuters reports. “Quaid and his wife were arrested in California in 2010 on suspicion of burglary and entering a building without consent.”

The report adds: “Quaid said the building was their own home and that after a failed attempt to sell it, they still owned the property.”
