Dec 14, 2015  •  Post A Comment

Director Paul Feig, who is helming the upcoming female-focused “Ghostbusters” reboot, focused the spotlight on diversity in Hollywood as he accepted honors at the Variety Press Play Home Entertainment and Digital Hall of Fame ceremony, held Dec. 8 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

Feig, the director of “Bridesmaids” and creator of the TV series “Freaks and Geeks,” said: “Comedy should be diverse and universal, both on the screen and behind the camera. … With so many new ways to deliver comedy, we need to make sure that we’re getting all the points of view and seeing it played out by the funniest and most talented people possible.”
