A Golden Globe nominee let slip a four-letter word on live TV while she was being interviewed about her nomination. E! News reports that Regina King’s slip sent the hosts of ABC’s “Good Morning America” into a round of awkward laughter until Robin Roberts got them back on track.
King received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Limited-Series or TV Movie for ABC’s “American Crime.”
Interviewed by phone, King said: “I told my publicist just don’t tell me the date that these happen. I want to put it out of my head. I don’t want stress myself out the night before. So when he calls, I’m like, ‘Oh, s–t! What happened in L.A.?'”
Co-host Roberts pointed out that the interview was taking place on network television, prompting an apology from King. Roberts then quickly took the interview in another direction.
