“A petition calling for Donald Trump to be banned from entering the U.K. has attracted more than a quarter of a million signatures — more than enough for a committee to consider sending the motion for parliamentary debate,” CNN reports.

The petition appeared on the British government’s official petitions website after the GOP presidential front-runner announced his intention to ban Muslims from entering the United States.

The petition states in part: “The UK has banned entry to many individuals for hate speech. The same principles should apply to everyone who wishes to enter the UK.”

The petition had more than 300,000 signatures as of Wednesday evening in the U.K., exceeding the required 100,000 signatures for consideration by Parliament’s Petitions Committee.

The committee will reportedly decide on its action on the petition Jan. 5.

  1. Are any of the signatures those of non-Muslims? When was the last time you saw a non-Muslim holding a human head? We do believe that all Muslims are not terrorists – but it appears from the exceedingly long list of murderous crimes that all terrorists are Muslim. So Trump suggesting that we follow the guidance of our founding fathers, our constitution and past presidents like FDR and Carter is not even close to hate speech! The authorities should investigate every signer of the petition to see if they are fostering hatred or are part of the problem!
