The former girlfriend of Sammy Davis Jr., who has accused Bill Cosby of raping her in a Detroit hotel room in 1974, has filed a defamation lawsuit against the comedian, TMZ.com reports.

Katherine McKee reportedly developed a friendship with Cosby around the time she appeared on “The Bill Cosby Show” in 1971. “McKee says in 1974, he invited her to his Detroit hotel room, telling her to get some ribs and go to his hotel room,” TMZ reports. “When she arrived, she claims in the lawsuit — obtained by TMZ — he greeted her in a bathrobe and in short order he grabbed the ribs, threw them aside and then attacked her.”

The actress recounted the incident in 2014, and was called a liar by a lawyer for Cosby, the story reports. Although the statute of limitations has run out on the alleged rape, McKee is now suing for defamation.
