It turns out the new deal Howard Stern signed with SiriusXM will bring a huge payday for Stern. The new five-year pact, which we reported earlier this week, is expected to pay him $90 million a year, the New York Post reports.
That figure is up from about $80 million that Stern was making with his old contract.
The new arrangement has Stern essentially leading the SiriusXM move into video, the report notes.
In announcing the deal, Stern hinted that SiriusXM is the wave of the future, saying: “If you are not listening to SiriusXM and ‘The Howard Stern Show,’ then you are really more like a zombie, a rotting corpse monster, living half a life, deadened and blackened inside. It’s as if you were still watching black and white television while shopping in actual stores on your way to the post office to fax a memo.”
