Trump Backs Down on His $5 Million Demand, Says He Will Take Part in CNN Debate

After being rebuffed by CNN boss Jeff Zucker over a demand to be paid $5 million to participate in the upcoming GOP debate, presidential front-runner Donald Trump has backed down and now says he will take part in the debate free of charge.

He had said he wanted $5 million, which he said he would give to charity. He was quoted saying during a campaign stop in Georgia earlier this week: “How about I tell CNN, who doesn’t treat me properly … I’m not gonna do the next debate, okay? I won’t do the debate unless they pay me $5 million, all of which goes to Wounded Warriors or goes to vets.”

Zucker later said CNN would not pay any candidates for debate appearances, and Time magazine reports that Trump confirmed Thursday he would show up anyway.

Trump reportedly told The Washington Post: “When you’re leading in the polls, I think it’s too big of a risk to not do the debate. I don’t think I have the kind of leverage I’d like to have in a deal and I don’t want to take the chance of hurting my campaign. So I’ll do the debate.”

The CNN debate is scheduled for Dec. 15.

  1. I think CNN should demand $5 million from him. Fair is fair.

  2. I am not going to be brain-washed, by the progressive Liberal zealots from any concoction of mainstream E-media. The control fanatics in both political parties have no influence over the top man in polls, as they are so sick they can hardly stand it. There politically correct police can go suck a lemon, although they maybe able to intimidate those who are easily influenced, but not me and my circle of friends and relatives. They are regurgitating the same slime from their mouths emanating the TV and radio, twitter and face book resources, but not American patriots? Winning will bring an end to Christian bullying in our country; to end the illegal immigration; equitable taxes for corporations and for the American people; revision of Obamacare and returning different government agencies such as Education back to the shelter of individual states.

Both political parties are running scared from the success of Donald Trump and can do absolutely nothing to cut off his presidential run. Every attack ad against Trump gains more points in the polls and the big donors and puppet masters will no longer have any power over the 2016 president.

By now relatively stable Americans, not the Hillary Clinton fanatics must realize that releasing thousands of dangerous criminals back on the street and not telling the local authorities, seems to me that this is insane? For those who don’t keep abreast of the news or C-Span on cable you should be made aware of the behavior of the Obama administration.

Read the information relating to the release of criminal aliens on unsuspecting victims at Numbersusa http://www.numbersusa.com/ and be aware of many illegal actions of this government. Much of it will be repealed if Donald Trump is named as President. The Wall will be built and Mandatory E-Verify will be implemented to begin the repatriation and removal of illegal immigrants. Business owners using cheap foreign labor–beware! With the Donald in charge, there will be ugly punishment. Senator Ted Cruz sees illegal immigration in the same way as Trump, and would an exceptional Vice President with his expert opinions.

Assistant Homeland Security Secretary, Sarah R. Saldana, testified to Congress on Wednesday that ICE had given away $113 million designated for deportations to other departments, because there were not enough illegal aliens to deport while also admitting that more than 179,000 illegal aliens who have committed crimes are roaming free in the United States.

Ms. Saldana said that most of the releases are due to court orders or because of a Supreme Court case that limits how long illegal aliens can be detained, especially when their own countries will not take them back.

She estimated that there could be as many as 15 million illegal aliens in the U.S., yet acknowledged that deportations have dropped from around 135,000 in 2012 to only around 63,000 in fiscal year 2015.

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) responded to those numbers saying, “You’re actually removing less than half as many criminal aliens than you were in just 2011, and you’re turning back money you were given for that very purpose.”

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, added during the hearing that the 179,029 “undocumented criminals with final orders of removal” from the United States currently remain at large across the country and are essentially untraceable.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) said he was “totally dissatisfied” with DHS’s release of illegal criminal alien, Jean Jacques. He was released after serving a 17-year sentence then stabbed and killed a local woman 6 months later. Ms. Saldana said that they were unable to deport the illegal alien because his home country would not accept him and under federal law they could not hold him past his sentencing. The safety concerns presented by illegal criminal aliens gained national attention after the shooting of Kate Steinle that happened in July 2015.

Jessica Vaughan, Policy Studies Director at the Center for Immigration Studies, criticized ICE’s decision to give away the $13 million saying,

“At a time when they’re releasing criminal aliens left and right and there’s a surge at the border, they decided to take money from the critical function of detention and removal of aliens, most of who are criminals, and put it into other functions in DHS. There’s no more obvious indication of how much lower a priority the removal of criminal aliens is — or enforcement in general.”

We must commit ourselves to aiding Trump in sitting in the White House or it will be a repeat of the Elites owning us once again?
