Body of Missing Country Singer Recovered

The body of a country singer who went missing on a duck hunting trip was recovered today in northern Oklahoma. The AP reports that authorities recovered the body of Craig Strickland this morning in Kaw Lake, near Ponca City.

Strickland, 29, was the lead singer for the country rock band Backroad Anthem. He and his friend Chase Morland were reported missing Dec. 27.

Their capsized boat was found the same day, after severe weather hit the area. Morland’s body was recovered from the lake Dec. 28.
