A CBS sitcom that has been the subject of cancellation rumors is now officially canceled. Variety reports that the network made it official that “Mike & Molly” is canceled, with the news following a leaked story in December claiming that the show would be canceled.

The series, starring Melissa McCarthy and Billy Gardell, just returned last Wednesday for its sixth, and now final, season. The news originally leaked in December when Rondi Reed, who plays Mike’s mother, Margaret ‘Peggy’ Biggs, posted it on her Facebook page, adding that the 22-episode order had been scaled back to 13.

McCarthy won an Emmy in 2011 for lead actress in a comedy, following several nominations for People’s Choice and Emmy awards for her work on the series.
