Filming begins next month on a new drama series starring one of the regulars from NBC’s hit sitcom “Friends.” Entertainment Weekly reports that David Schwimmer will star along with Jim Sturgess in AMC’s “Feed the Beast.”

Schwimmer, who played Ross on “Friends,” is due up next as Robert Kardashian in FX’s “American Crime Story.” The AMC Studios-Lionsgate production “Feed the Beast,” which will film in New York, is slated to premiere in May with a 10-episode first season.

“An adaptation of a Danish series, the series will be overlorded by former ‘Dexter’ executive producer Clyde Phillips, who will serve as showrunner and executive producer,” EW notes. “‘Feed the Beast’ revolves around two best buds/borderline brothers, Tommy (Schwimmer) and Dion Patras (Sturgess), who are on the verge of losing everything and attempt to fulfill their dream of opening a haute Greek restaurant in the Bronx.”
