An Oscar-winning actor became a hero in real life Monday night, springing into action when a crash happened just outside his house. TMZ.com reports that Jamie Foxx pulled a driver from an overturned car that was on fire.
“The wreck happened at 8:30 p.m. on Monday — a single vehicle appears to have skidded on wet roads, hit a ditch and flipped upside down. It ended up in front of Jamie’s gate in normally sleepy Hidden Valley … northeast of L.A.,” TMZ reports.
Foxx, an Oscar Winner for his performance as Ray Charles in the 2004 movie “Ray,” reportedly called 911 before rushing to the burning vehicle, unbuckling the driver and dragging him about 30 feet away. The driver reportedly was hospitalized with major injuries including burns.
