Comedian Amy Schumer delivered the “pickup” line quoted in our headline as part of a press release Wednesday from Comedy Central announcing that her show “Inside Amy Schumer” was picked up for a fifth season.

The pickup comes in advance of the show’s fourth-season premiere, set for April. Announcing the show’s renewal was Kent Alterman, President, Original Programming, Comedy Central.

“Inside Amy Schumer” has won Peabody and Emmy awards, and has been described by The New York Times as “the perfect, classic balance of smart and filthy that makes Ms. Schumer so hilarious.” Schumer and Daniel Powell created and executive produce the series, which is also exec produced by Jessi Klein, Tony Hernandez and Steve Ast. Klein is the show’s head writer.

“A true multiplatform hit, full episode streams of the third season of ‘Inside Amy Schumer’ grew over 200% from its second season and total video streams saw a six-fold increase season-over-season, with over 83 million videos streamed from the third season,” Comedy Central notes in its announcement. “The series, which won the first Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series, also saw its social media footprint triple over the course of its third season with a robust 40% increase in Twitter mentions.”

The series mixes scripted vignettes, stand-up comedy and man-on-the-street interviews, keeping the focus largely on sex and relationships. Season three featured a strong lineup of guest stars including Jerry Seinfeld, Paul Giamatti, Dennis Quaid, Jeff Goldblum, Josh Charles, Method Man, Colin Quinn, Kumail Nanjiani, Rob Morrow, Kathy Najimy, America Ferrara and Natasha Lyonne.
