The death of a television meteorologist has been ruled a suicide. TVNewser reports that the Medical Examiner for Fulton County, Ga., announced that the death of Nick Wiltgen in a car crash Sunday afternoon was “an intentional act of driving a vehicle into/through the concrete wall of a parking deck. The cause of death is craniocerebral trauma and the manner of death has been classified as suicide.”

Wiltgen, 39, had been with The Weather Channel for 15 years and was a senior digital meteorologist for the channel.

Weatherman Al Roker tweeted “Thoughts and prayers to Nick Wiltgen’s family, adding, “His smile, expertise and camaraderie will be missed.”
