One of the Original Stars of ‘The Cosby Show’ Joins Showtime’s ‘Ray Donovan’

One of the stars of “The Cosby Show” during its heyday as a stalwart of NBC’s comedy lineup in the 1980s will tackle a substantial role on the Showtime drama “Ray Donovan.” Showtime announced that Lisa Bonet is joining the acclaimed Liev Schreiber series in a season-long arc during season four.

Bonet starred as Denise Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” earning an Emmy nomination for the role and continuing the character’s story in the spinoff “A Different World.” She is also known for her work in film, including appearing opposite Mickey Rourke in “Angel Heart” and co-starring with Will Smith in “Enemy of the State.”

Showtime also announced that other guest stars during season four will include Embeth Davidtz, Ted Levine, Gabriel Mann, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Chris Coppola and Billy Lush.
