A hacker has been charged in connection with the release of nude celebrity photos in an incident that became known as “the Fappening” in 2014. The incident made public photos of Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst and others.

TMZ.com reports that Ryan Collins, who could face up to five years in prison, has agreed to plead guilty in exchange for a promise by prosecutors that they will recommend an 18-month sentence.

Collins “was charged with unauthorized access to a protected computer. The feds say Collins is responsible for hacking into the computers of more than 100 victms — at least 18 of them famous — and downloading their photos and videos,” TMZ reports.

Collins reportedly used a phishing scheme and accessed the material through Apple iCloud and Gmail accounts.
