KNXV, PBS-Frontline-WGBH Among Winners of Scripps Howard Awards

“The winners of the 2015 Scripps Howard Awards revealed foster care horrors, uncovered a wrongful imprisonment in New Orleans, tracked the origin and relentless path of the Ebola virus and exposed dental care dangers in Arizona,” the Scripps Howard Foundation said in announcing the winners of the annual awards.

Phoenix station KNXV-TV was the winner of the Jack R. Howard Award for Television/Cable In-Depth Local Coverage, and Dan Edge of PBS Frontline-WGBH received the Jack R. Howard Award for Television/Cable In-Depth National and International Coverage.

Buzzfeed was honored with the Ursula and Gilbert Farfel Prize for Investigative Reporting, while the USA Today Network received the Roy W. Howard Award for Public Service Reporting. Other winners included The Boston Globe, The New York Times, The Post and Courier of Charleston, S.C., and NJ Advance Media.
