David and Charles Koch, described as “the most powerful conservative mega donors in the United States,” are taking a hands-off approach when it comes to Donald Trump. Reuters cites a spokesman for the Koch brothers’ political umbrella group saying they will not use their $400 million political war chest to try to block Trump’s nomination.

“The decision by the billionaire industrialists is another setback to Republican establishment efforts to derail the New York real estate mogul’s bid for the White House, and follows speculation the Kochs would soon launch a ‘Trump Intervention,'” Reuters reports.

The report quotes James Davis, spokesman for Freedom Partners, saying: “We have no plans to get involved in the primary.” Reuters notes that Davis would not comment on the group’s strategy for the general election.
