In a new examination of the nasty legal battle swirling around CBS Corp. and Viacom majority owner Sumner Redstone, Vanity Fair reports that Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman and CBS CEO Les Moonves have been “dragged into the mess.”
Redstone, 92, is reportedly in failing health — the report says “he seems to be hanging on by a thread” — and has been the focus of a power struggle that includes his daughter Shari Redstone, 61, and two of his longtime companions, Manuela Herzer, 51, and Sydney Holland, 44, along with many of the key players in his media empire. Sumner Redstone’s worth is said to be in the ballpark of $5 billion.
