Discovery Channel has taken the wraps off its slate of prime-time programming for the 2016-17 TV season, with 20 new series on tap along with 22 returning series.

The lineup of new shows includes the spinoff “Deadliest Catch: Dungeon Cove,” set among fishermen based in Newport, Ore.

The network is also launching “Discovery Impact,” an anthology documentary series focusing on global environmental issues. And of course the lineup includes the 29th annual “Shark Week.”
