Actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, who were married in early 2015, appeared in a court-ordered apology video after they got in trouble in Australia for allegedly bringing their two pet Yorkshire terriors into the country illegally.
The video, which you can watch below, was posted by the Australian Government Department of Agriculture and Water Resources. In the clip, Heard and Depp briefly explain Australia’s strict biosecurity laws.
Heard reportedly appeared today in the Southport Magistrates Court in Queensland and pleaded guilty to a count of producing a false document when she presented her incoming Passenger Card. The incident had become known as Terriergate in the Australian press.
Biosecurity charges were apparently dropped in exchange for Heard’s plea and the public apology.
The Australian government reportedly caught wind of the presence of the dogs in the country after a dog grooming salon posted photos of the animals on its Facebook page.
