A national broadcast is set for the first game to be played by the Los Angeles Rams in more than 20 years. The Los Angeles Times reports that ESPN will carry the preseason opener on Saturday, Aug. 13, in which the newly relocated Rams will take on the Dallas Cowboys.
The game will be played at the Los Angeles Coliseum, with kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m. PT. The NFL announced plans for the game today, with the league’s regular-season schedule expected to be announced in a few weeks.
The Rams are returning to Los Angeles after playing in St. Louis since 1995.
The second week of the preseason will include a game between the Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs, with the date still being worked out. The team will also play the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings during the preseason, with the Vikings game to be held at the new US Bank Stadium in early September.
