NBC, Hollywood Foreign Press Association Lock In Broadcast Plans for Next Year’s Golden Globes

NBC and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, along with dick clark productions, announced plans today for the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards. The ceremony, to be held at the Beverly Hilton, will be televised live coast to coast on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, from 5-8 p.m. PT and 8-11 p.m. ET.

The ceremony is seen in more than 236 countries worldwide and is one of the few at which both television and the motion pictures are honored.

“NBC’s telecast of the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards scored as the #1 entertainment telecast on the Big 4 networks for the prime-time week of Jan. 4-10, according to ‘live plus same day’ viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, which also ranks the Golden Globe Awards #1 among non-sports programs on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and all key adult-female demos,” the organizations noted in their announcement.
