ABC announced today that it has signed Jimmy Kimmel to a three-year contract extension that takes his deal through fall 2019.

“The successful late-night show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ is currently in its 14th season, making Kimmel the longest-running host among his contemporaries,” the network noted in its announcement. “During its run, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ has been nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Variety Series. Kimmel will also return to host the Primetime Emmy Awards on ABC, on September 18.”

The network notes that videos from the show have amassed 4.5 billion views on YouTube, with more than 7.7 million subscribers to the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” channel, which features signature Kimmel bits such as “Mean Tweets,” “Lie Witness News,” and “I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy.”
