CBS has decided not to bring back a drama series. News that the network will not pick up “Rush Hour” for season two broke in a social media post by Justin Hires, who stars as Det. James Steven Carter on the series.

Hires wrote on Instagram: “It’s my unpleasant task to announce that Rush Hour is not being renewed for a second season. Although, the remaining 6 episodes left are still scheduled to air every Thursday 10/9c on CBS.”

The show, developed by Blake McCormick and Bill Lawrence based on the “Rush Hour” film franchise, is produced by Warner Bros. TV. It premiered March 31 and has aired only seven episodes so far.

“Rush Hour” has been averaging a little more than 4.5 million total viewers in Live+Same Day on Thursday nights.

  1. No surprise there. I watched the first couple of episodes, and just couldn’t get into it, despite loving the movies.

  2. dam It was just getting good.I wish they can go to another network.
