The drama series “Supergirl,” which wrapped its first season last month on CBS, has been renewed for season two, but the show will be moving to the CW, EW.com reports.

The show moves to a network where it should be right at home, with “Arrow,” “The Flash” and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” also airing on the CW. Greg Berlanti is behind all four superhero series.

“Since ‘Supergirl’ was first announced in development at CBS, both fans and industry insiders have questioned whether the major network famous for its crime dramas was the right fit for the show,” EW notes.

“Supergirl” stars melissa Benoist in the title role.

  1. The budget just got a lot smaller, but at least she’s coming back!

  2. Great! They don’t need million dollar effects. They need better writers and stories. They are joining a good stable of DC comics programming already on CW. This could be fun. I hope for many good cross-over events!!
