An actor who was known for playing ALF — Alien Life Form — in the NBC series “ALF” has died. Michu Meszaros reportedly died today at 76.
TMZ.com reports that Meszaros, a former circus performer, was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital more than a week ago and had remained in a coma ever since.
“Michu was born in Hungary and began performing in the circus in his teens,” TMZ reports. “He was only 33 inches tall, coining him the unofficial title as ‘the smallest man on earth.’ He eventually joined Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus in the ’70s.”
Meszaros reportedly played the “walkaround version” of the character ALF. The sitcom aired from 1986-1990.
