Tim Tebow is being lauded after he responded to an emergency on a Delta flight by helping out after a passenger suffered an apparent heart attack. CBS New York reports that the former NFL quarterback helped comfort the family, led a section of the plane in prayer and later transported the man’s wife to the hospital after the plane landed.

“The former New York Jets quarterback was on a Delta Airlines flight Sunday going from Atlanta to Phoenix when someone on the plane started suffering from a critical medical emergency,” the story reports. “Richard Gotti posted on his Facebook the man was given CPR and shocks from an automated defibrillator. That’s when people began to pray.”

Gotti wrote on Facebook: “Then all of a sudden, I observed a guy walking down the aisle. That guy was Tim Tebow. He met with the family as they cried on his shoulder! I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man.”

The Facebook post was being widely circulated on social media.
