Owner of MediaPost — Who Also Once Owned Adweek — Said to Be Interested in Reacquiring Adweek

The owner of the digital news site MediaPost, who once owned Adweek, is reportedly interested in reacquiring the trade publication. The New York Post reports that Ken Fadner is said to be interested in the acquisition.

“Todd Boehly, who heads Eldridge Industries, took the publication along with the Clio Awards and Mediabistro with him when he left Guggenheim Publications in December 2015,” the report notes. “But he is now interested in unloading them. The other media properties he purchased from Guggenheim, including The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard, are not for sale. BDA was retained to shop the Adweek group.”

Another possible suitor who is rumored to be interested is Haymarket press, which publishes the London-based Media Week.
