A popular actress has been named the “Woman of the Decade” by Spike TV. The cable network announced that Julia Roberts will receive the honor during the 10th annual Guys Choice awards.

The ceremony will take place Saturday, June 4, at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, Calif., and will be televised Thursday, June 9, on Spike.

“We have been inviting Julia Roberts to be honored on Guys Choice for nine years and to have her gracing our big 10th anniversary show is a dream come true,” said executive producer Casey Patterson. “Guys Choice is about Men of The Year and the women they love. Nobody is more beloved than Julia.”

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are also set to receive one of the evening’s highest honors, “Guys of the Decade.”

Other honorees include “Pitch Perfect” star Anna Kendrick, who will receive the “Hot & Funny” award; supermodel Gigi Hadid, winner of the “Our New Girlfriend” award (past recipients include Kate Upton, Chrissy Teigen, Emily Ratajkowski and Hannah Davis); and Denver Broncos linebacker and Super Bowl MVP Von Miller, who was named “Most Unstoppable Jock.”

Spike announced separately that NBA legend Kobe Bryant will be honored as “Athlete of the Decade.

  1. Another meaningless awards show.

  2. Are people chosen based on their availability for the show? Would she still have been woman of the decade in year 7?
