Viacom Veteran Steps Up to Head of Ad Sales

Viacom’s head of ad sales is headed out, and a veteran of 20 years with the company will replace him. Variety reports that Sean Moran, who was most recently executive vice president of national brand sales, will step up to become head of marketing and partner solutions.

“He replaces Jeff Lucas, who will join Snapchat, the instant-messaging social-media application that struck a partnership with Viacom earlier this year, as its vice president of sales,” Variety notes.

Moran will be reporting to Viacom Chief Operating Officer Tom Dooley.

In a statement, Dooley said: “Sean is the right leader to guide this group to new heights. He has been a standout performer with Viacom and his knowledge of our business and the advertising marketplace is unsurpassed.”
