A Flood of New Programming Rolls Out on Broadcast, Cable and Streaming in the Next Few Weeks

With the Olympics still about a month away, broadcasters, cable outlets and streamers are unleashing an onslaught of new and returning series in the next few weeks, along with a slate of specials.

Even NBC, which is busy getting ready for the Olympics, is getting in on the pre-Olympics frenzy with the two-night event “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” premiering Aug. 1-2.

Open mic blogger Hillary Atkin checked out what’s coming up on ABC, Hulu, USA, Hallmark, Netflix, Starz, VH1, HBO and other programmers, and has put together a summary of what to watch as you wait for the Olympics to start.
