Former NFL Player Files for Divorce From ‘Cosby Show’ Actress After She Announces Pregnancy

An actress who played one of the kids on “The Cosby Show” didn’t get the reaction she may have been hoping for from her husband after she revealed she’s pregnant.

Keshia Knight Pulliam, who played Rudy, the youngest of the Huxtable kids, on the long-running NBC sitcom, revealed earlier this month that she’s pregnant, only to have husband Ed Hartwell, a former NFL linebacker, file for divorce about a week later.

TMZ.com reports that Knight Pulliam was blindsided by the divorce petition, and is contesting it.

Hartwell reportedly told YBF.com: “Right now, the only thing I want is a paternity test for the baby.”

TMZ notes: “We’re told she’s secure in the fact she’s been 100% faithful to her husband of just 7 months, and has no idea why he’d assume otherwise. Also, she has no objection to taking the paternity test he’s requesting.”

The couple reportedly dated for just four months before getting married in January. “Hartwell was previously married to Lisa Wu and appeared on ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta,'” TMZ notes.

  1. Maybe he is infertile or had a vasectomy before, but did not tell his wife about it? Why would he have such a strange reaction? Although I’m not surprised, is it really possible to have a wedding after a few months of dating? What were they hoping for? For many years of a happy married life?

I met my ex-husband six months before our wedding. Guess how it ended? By divorce! Thank god, we divorced as adequate people, we themselves filled in such forms https://onlinedivorcewa.com/how-to-file-for-divorce-in-washington-state/, we did not use lawyers’ help. I am glad that we did not arrange a shameful break to the delight of the spiteful critics.
