Fox has made a put pilot commitment for a new Marvel action-adventure series, with Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Matt Nix and Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory on board as executive producers.

The project, which is still untitled, centers on a family with ordinary parents who learn that their children possess mutant powers, causing the family to have to go underground.

David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company, announced the project today.

Said Madden: “Developing a Marvel property has been a top priority for the network — and we are so pleased with how Matt Nix has led us into this thrilling universe. There’s comic book adventure, emotional and complicated relationships, and a rich, existing mythology from which to draw. With the brilliant production crew behind this project, it has all the makings of a big, fun and exciting new series.”

The series will be produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television, with 20th Century Fox handling physical production.

  1. The question is, will this be a part of the greater Marvel Universe, or stuck on the outs like the Fantastic Four?
