FYI Names Executive VP of Programming and Development

A+E Networks announced the appointment of a new executive vice president of programming and development for FYI. The network promoted Gena McCarthy, who has been FYI’s senior VP, Programming & Development.

“Going forward, McCarthy will continue to oversee all programming and development for FYI to create best-in-class, multi-platform programming,” the company said in its announcement. “She will also work closely with other A+E Networks’ brands to identify content that might work well across the portfolio.”

McCarthy reports to Paul Greenberg, general manager of FYI. Said Greenberg: “During Gena’s impressive tenure at FYI, she has worked tirelessly and overseen the development and success of multiple hit shows and formats that have made FYI one of the most upscale cable networks in the industry and one of the most successful new cable networks in years.”
