A comedy series about marijuana has its premiere date set on HBO. The pay-cable service announced that “High Maintenance” will premiere Friday, Sept. 16, at 11 p.m. ET/PT.

The series is set for a six-episode run.

“From the unexpected and offbeat to the predictable and mundane, ‘High Maintenance’ provides a glimpse into the daily routines of a diverse group of New Yorkers and how they light things up,” HBO says in its announcement. “Ben Sinclair stars as ‘The Guy,’ a nameless pot deliveryman whose client base includes an eccentric group of characters with neuroses as diverse as the city.”

The series was created and written by Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair, who are also behind the hit Web series of the same name. The show is produced by Janky Clown Productions and executive produced by Katja Blichfeld, Russell Gregory and Ben Sinclair.
