One of the most buzzed-about shows on TV these days is getting some love from its network. The show is USA’s “Mr. Robot,” which just had its season two order expanded and will have a live aftershow.
Deadline.com reports that USA expanded its order for season two to 12 episodes, up from the original 10. The cable channel also ordered “Hacking Robot,” a live aftershow to be hosted by Andy Greenwald.
“Hacking Robot” premieres July 13, leading out from the “Mr. Robot” season two premiere.
“Greenwald co-hosted the ‘Game of Thrones’ aftershow program ‘After the Thrones’ on HBO this season and previously co-hosted a ‘Thrones’-related podcast on ESPN’s former affiliate site Grantland,” Deadline notes.
“Mr. Robot” won the Golden Globe this year for best TV drama series, along with a Golden Globe for Christian Slater as best supporting actor. The show was also named best drama series at the Critics Choice Television Awards, among other honors.
USA is also airing a “Mr. Robot” marathon this Saturday, July 9.
