Jon Stewart Reclaims Late-Night Pulpit — For Now

Jon Stewart, who became a late-night institution during his 16-year run as host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” has reclaimed a spot in the daypart — but presumably the arrangement is temporary.

Stewart has been reconnecting with his old Comedy Central channel mate Stephen Colbert to bolster this week’s convention coverage on CBS’s “Late Show.” He resurfaced on Colbert’s CBS show last night to provide live commentary, coinciding with Donald Trump’s climactic night at the GOP Convention.

Stewart, a longtime Fox News foil, also joined with Colbert to riff on Roger Ailes’ exit from the channel.
