A meteorologist working for a local TV station was arrested Wednesday on child pornography charges. CBS News reports that Justin Goldstein faces charges of possessing child porn and promoting a minor in an obscene performance.

Goldstein, 33, was reportedly arrested while at work at New Haven, Conn., station WTNH-TV.

“Police say an investigation began last month after video files of suspected child porn were downloaded from Goldstein’s internet account,” CBS News reports. “Federal, state and local authorities say they found child porn on computers and other devices seized at Goldstein’s home in Hamden.”

WTNH is an ABC affiliate owned by Media General. “WTNH General Manager Mark Higgins said Goldstein was suspended from his duties at the station, until the matter was resolved,” WFSB-TV in Hartford reports.

Higgins told WFSB: “We are deeply concerned by these allegations.”

The WFSB report adds: “Goldstein was not home when police arrived to execute the search warrant, but was located at his place of employment where he was taken into custody.”
