One of the largest lottery jackpots in U.S. history is up for grabs in Friday’s Mega Millions drawing, after an estimated $454 million jackpot did not find a winner Tuesday night, USA Today reports.

“With no winner Tuesday night, the jackpot climbed to $508 million, the seventh-largest in U.S. lottery history,” the publication reports.

The report adds: “The jackpot is the third-largest ever in Mega Millions history dating back to 1996, when it was first introduced in six states (not including Florida) as the ‘Big Game,’ according to the Mega Millions website.”

The game has slightly better odds than Powerball, and it’s rare for nearly four months to pass without a Mega Millions winner, the story reports, noting: “Tuesday marked the 34th time the jackpot has rolled over without a winner. The previous record was 22 rolls.”
