More than a dozen women have contacted an attorney representing ousted Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson with detailed allegations of sexual harassment by Fox News boss Roger Ailes, according to a report in New York magazine. The allegations, which reportedly cover a period of 25 years going back to when Ailes was a producer on “The Mike Douglas Show,” come after Carlson filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Ailes.

The article is written by Gabriel Sherman, who wrote the bestselling Ailes biography “The Loudest Voice in the Room: How the Brilliant, Bombastic Roger Ailes Built Fox News — and Divided a Country.” Sherman notes that the book, published in 2014, included interviews with four women who accused Ailes of making sexual comments and unwanted sexual advances.

Six of the women who has come forward with new allegations were interviewed for the New York piece, with two of them, former Republican National Committee field adviser Kellie Boyle and former model Marsha Callahan, going on the record.

Boyle, who alleges Ailes propositioned her in 1989, is quoted in the report saying of Ailes: “He said that’s how all these men in media and politics work — everyone’s got their friend.”
