‘The View’ Mainstay Extends Deal With the Show

Jul 11, 2016  •  Post A Comment

With part of the lineup on the daytime chatfest “The View” still in flux, one of the show’s mainstays, Whoopi Goldberg, has signed a one-year extension to remain on the show.

Goldberg announced the deal on Twitter, writing: “Ok NOW it’s official, I have re-upped for 1 year returning to @TheView 4 the 2016/2017 season. Will continue 2 annoy some, delight others.”

The show has yet to name a replacement for Michelle Collins, who departed “The View” last month. Meanwhile, the status of the program’s other panelists, Joy Behar, Raven-Symone, Candace Cameron Bure and Paula Faris, remains unclear going forward.

Goldberg has been with the show since 2007, when she replaced Rosie O’Donnell.

  1. Big Mistake. This show should be deep-sixed, “Kelly” moved back one-hour and another hour added to GMA. Why does ABC continue with this worthless show???

  2. Yup. Show sucks now.

  3. Love the show and Love that Whoopi has decided to stay. They talk about relevant subjects that effect us all.
