Just days after Fox News chief Roger Ailes resigned from the network, two more Fox News execs are gone. The AP reports that the ouster of Michael Clemente and Peter Boyer is unrelated to the sexual harassment lawsuit that forced Ailes to step down.
“Clemente was executive vice president of news at Fox until April, when he was demoted and put in charge of a new division for specials and long-form programming,” the AP reports, adding: “Fox says it is re-evaluating that division as it concentrates on the election over the next few months.” Clemente was previously with ABC News.
Boyer was an editor-at-large at Fox News and Clemente’s top deputy. The story cites two unnamed Fox executives as its sources.
