In the Face of More Bad Poll Numbers, Donald Trump Says He Will Never Change

After taking a beating over the weekend in the latest round of presidential polls, a defiant GOP nominee Donald Trump took to social media to declare that he’s sticking with what got him there.

The New York Post reports that Trump announced on Twitter Sunday night: “I have always been the same person-remain true to self. The media wants me to change but it would be very dishonest to supporters to do so!”

“The mogul’s latest tweet storm comes amid a slew of bad news. Swing-state polls released Sunday show Hillary Clinton leading in Florida (Clinton 45, Trump 40) and New Hampshire (Clinton 45, Trump 36),” the Post reports. “A new poll released Monday from Siena College finds Trump getting walloped in his home state of New York. Clinton is leading Trump 57 percent to 27 percent, according to the poll.”

Trump lashed out at some of his traditional targets, including the media, tweeting: “‘Stay on message’ is the chant. I always do — trade, jobs, military, vets, 2nd A, repeal Ocare, borders, etc — but media misrepresents!”

He also blasted Republicans he beat in the primary who are failing to support his campaign. “Certain Republicans who have lost to me would rather save face by fighting me than see the U.S. Supreme Court get proper appointments. Sad!” Trump tweeted.

  1. One legitimate point he makes… The Supreme Court is going to be a challenge in the next four years, whoever wins the election.
