Naked Donald Trump Statues Appear Across the U.S.

Naked life-size statues of Donald Trump began appearing today in cities across the U.S., including New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco and Cleveland, the AP reports.

“They are the brainchild of an activist collective called INDECLINE, which has spoken out against Trump before,” the story reports. “In a statement, the collective said the hope is that Trump, the former host of ‘The Apprentice’ reality TV series, ‘is never installed in the most powerful political and military position in the world.'”

The AP adds: “The statues were created by an artist in Cleveland. They are of a stern-faced Trump with his hands folded over a bulging belly. Some parts of male genitalia are visible while others seemingly are missing.”

In its statement, INDECLINE said: “It is through these sculptures that we leave behind the physical and metaphorical embodiment of the ghastly soul of one of America’s most infamous and reviled politicians.”

The Trump campaign reportedly declined to comment.

  1. if Trump were smart, he’d use this as an opportunity to comment on the class and mentality of Clinton supporters. He’d call on Clinton to castigate her suporters and take down the statues. He’d use this to his advantage. But as they have already declined to comment, chances are he’ll lose this opportunity to attack Clinton supporters.

    • Not a Trump supporter, but maybe Trump is taking the high road here.

I find this statue situation ironic. It is rather apropos that the political ideology this group advocates (as evidenced by use of the word “collective” to describe themselves and, unknowingly, by their name) was the basis for several (now defunct) governments. Governments that typically referred to these sort of activities as “hooliganism” when prosecuting them for those activities as crimes against the State.

      Notice that isn’t happening here.

  2. Ahh, But John, it’s “ART.” “The Collective” can do anything in the name of “ART.” I think you’re right. Trump may be taking the high road. Can he keep the bus on the “high road?” Hope so.
