A video — you can watch it below — of a teenager performing on a water-damaged piano in Louisiana as neighbors sift through the wreckage of their flooded homes is being hailed as symbolizing the resilience of those in the flood zone.
People magazine reports that the clip was recorded by John White, a volunteer from The Holy Family Homeschoolers, and captures Mark Chasuk playing Albert Pieczonka’s “Tarantella” in an impromptu sidewalk performance during a break from the cleanup.
In a Facebook post, White wrote: “The piano took on four feet of water, so needless to say it’s a goner. But Mark had a long day and wanted to blow off some steam so this happened.”
