CBS Delays Launch of New ‘Star Trek’ Series

Sep 14, 2016  •  Post A Comment

CBS has shuffled the launch schedule for two programs coming to its CBS All Access digital subscription service. The rollout of “Star Trek: Discovery” is being delayed while the new edition of “The Good Wife” is being moved up.

“Star Trek,” which had been slated to premiere in early 2017, was moved back to May. “The Good Wife” spinoff will move into the “Star Trek” spot and debut in February.

CBS characterized the moves as being aimed at giving the “Star Trek” team sufficient time to ensure the quality of the program, including its special effects.
