Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Kirstie Alley has joined the cast of the Fox series “Scream Queens.” Fox announced Monday that Alley, who won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for “Cheers” in 1991 and an Emmy for “David’s Mother” in 1994, is a series regular on season two of the show.

The season premiere is set for Tuesday, Sept. 20.

Reprising their season one characters are Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Billie Lourd, Glen Powell and Niecy Nash, who will also be joined for season two by John Stamos, Taylor Lautner and James Earl.

Season two “graduates from the college campus and into a hospital, as a terrifyingly funny mystery will begin once again,” Fox says in its announcement. “At the C.U.R.E. Institute, where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation, Alley will play a brilliant and devious administrator.”

The show comes from Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan.
